Natalie Hansen has been "making" things as long as she can remember...at 7, she covered juice cans with burlap and yarn flowers, filled them with homemade breadsticks, and gave them as gifts to all of her Aunts and Uncles for Christmas. At 12, she ventured into her first try at selling, and made braided bread baskets from salt dough, and made enough money to buy Christmas gifts for her family!
About 3 years ago, Natalie discovered 3D collage, and in finding the magazine Somerset Studio, she discovered that what she did had a name...mixed media. Constantly trying to learn new techiniques and genres has led her to the world of art retreats, which help to motivate, teach, and inspire her.
